In the suburb Bikovo a Water intake facility is put into function with a revitalized well and pumping station. It is necessary to provide Organized water supply in 3 suburbs: Tavankut and Ljutovo, Šupljak and Hajdukovo.
The Waterworks – Development and History
The Taking-over was performed for Water Line of the new Waste Water Treatment Plant of the City Subotica from the Contractor Dutch company "DHV".
In the Notification period of one year the outstanding works will be eliminated.
Public Utility Company "Water Supply and Sewerage" Subotica was awarded with International HACCP standard. This standard represents a logical, scientifically based system for the process control of production and distribution of food products, which includes water for drinking.

The hydro-mechanic, electric and power, and measuring and controlling equipment of the Water Intake I pump station was regenerated and updated thereby the capacity and cost effectiveness of water supply in the summer period has been increased from 250 to 400 litres/seconds.

EBRD experts reviewed the operations of the Subotica Waterworks and Sewerage PUC, and concluded that the PUC satisfies the criteria for applying to international loans and donations.

Proposed by the PUC, the Municipal Assembly passed a decision on sewerage, and on the base of that decision polluters are sanctioned if individual parameters of pollution are exceeded.
The largest polluters started to build their own facilities for the primary treatment of waste waters or reorganised their production technology.
The filling of Lake Palic with water has been completed. (From setting into operation until to-day, the WWTP has treated 12.000.000 m3 of waste water, i.e. 28.000 m3 a day.) The water supply of Novi Zednik settlement has been taken over by the PUC.
